Digitalization does not stop at rural tourism - fortunately! In the vacation region of Viechtacher Land and the town of Viechtach, the digital transformation is being driven forward strategically and sustainably. The focus is on projects that make the stay more comfortable for vacation guests, reduce the workload of employees and at the same time support ecological and economic goals.
Calendar of events: smart and error-free
A central project is the digitalization of the event calendar. The aim is to avoid sources of error due to media discontinuity, provide up-to-date information and make communication more efficient. Above all, however, target groups are addressed precisely - from locals to day visitors and holidaymakers.
Digital guest card & guest folder
Another milestone is the introduction of a digital guest card with an integrated guest folder. Vacation guests receive up-to-date information on services, events and offers conveniently on their smartphone. Particularly forward-looking: the card can be combined with the Guest Service Environmental Ticket (GUTi) - sustainable mobility included.
Continuous advice & training
To ensure that these systems are not only introduced but also put into practice, we provide the region with ongoing strategic advice, coaching and employee training. All steps are coordinated together with the IT manager of the town of Viechtach.
The region impressively demonstrates how consistent project management, digital tools and targeted training can create real added value for guests, administration and the environment.
