Protecting our homeland - how PASSION4IT takes responsibility with 5,000 m² of forest on the Mühlriegel

Together with Planted and Hula Earth, PASSION4IT leases a piece of forest land for renaturation - a project close to our hearts in our Bavarian homeland

Our responsibility for the future begins at home

As a company with close ties to its home region, we at PASSION4IT have grown up with forests, mountains and nature. Environmental protection is therefore not only part of our daily activities, but an integral part of our corporate philosophy. Since our foundation, we have invested 1 % of our annual turnover in environmental protection projects as part of the 1% for the Planet.

From global initiatives to local engagement

In the past, we have supported projects to reforest mountain forests, clean water bodies and protect bees, whales and orangutans. Our last project was the planting of 3,200 trees in a regional company forest. This year, we are going one step further - with a project that has a very special meaning for us personally.

A project close to our hearts on the Mühlriegel

Together with the environmental organization Planted we have protected a 5,000 m² forest plot on the Mühlriegel near Arnbruck in the Bavarian Forest from cultivation by means of an encumbrance entered in the land register. Over the next 20 years, this area will be renaturalized and converted into a natural forest development area. The focus is on the return and protection of native species.

To this end, we are working with the start-up Hula Earth which provides us with AI sensors that can simultaneously determine which animal species is involved. These help to monitor biodiversity on site and document developments over the years. We also get access to the dashboard, which allows us to monitor changes independently.

A special moment with strong partners

We were able to count on numerous supporters for the implementation of the project: In addition to our partners Planted and Hula Earth, Regen District Development, the municipality of Arnbruck, the landowners and the mountain rescue service were also on board. A big thank you to everyone involved - especially the mountain rescue service, which brought us safely to our destination, and the landowners for the trust they placed in us.

A sustainable sign for future generations

Protecting nature and the climate is not just a duty for us, but a conviction. With the project on the Mühlriegel, we not only want to bind CO₂, but also set an example - for sustainable entrepreneurship, for regional responsibility and for our common future.
