At PASSION4IT, we understand that our responsibility extends far beyond the boundaries of the digital world. Our latest initiative, in which we planted 3200 oak trees, is proof of our commitment to environmental protection and biodiversity.
One percent for the planet
We have set ourselves the task of investing one percent of PASSION4IT's annual turnover in environmental protection measures. In 2023, this sum amounted to an impressive 40,000 euros. Part of this investment went to projects in Africa, while the larger share was used to finance our own company forest in our region. This project was realized in cooperation with the Cologne-based company "Planted", which specializes in carbon accounting and helps companies achieve their net-zero targets.
The path to a climate forest
The unexpectedly early onset of winter last year led to the postponement of our planting campaign, but we were not discouraged. In spring, with the support of the Bavarian State Forestry Bodenmais and the dedicated team from "Planted", we have now rescheduled the campaign. Our aim is to create a climate forest that can better withstand climatic changes. In particular, English oaks were selected, which are ideal for the stony slopes of our region.
Teamwork for the environment
All employees were actively involved in the planting campaign and were instructed in the technique of tree planting. It was important for everyone to develop a practical understanding of the measures and at the same time make a contribution to environmental protection. Working together not only strengthened our team spirit, but also our commitment to sustainable initiatives.
A sustainable promise
The positive response and the successful outcome of the campaign have prompted us to invest one percent of our annual turnover in another company forest project for 2024. We are proud to be making a contribution to strengthening biodiversity in our home country and at the same time setting an example for sustainable business practices.
