On May 18, we had the pleasure of attending the 7th network meeting "Visiting technology leaders". This event is regularly organized by Arberland REGio GmbH. This year, the event took place in Kirchberg im Wald and began with a tour of Mesutronic Gerätebau GmbH. Founded in 1992, the company develops and produces innovative metal detection technology for industrial applications and supplies customers in 50 countries around the world. Following the company tour, the event moved to the auditorium of the St. Gotthard primary and secondary school in Kirchberg im Wald. The official opening of the networking event by District Administrator Rita Röhrl took place there and was followed by a number of exciting keynote speeches on the topics of innovation and artificial intelligence.
Among other things, Christian Boxleitner, Managing Director of Mesutronic Gerätebau GmbH, presented the company's current projects in addition to the practical insights provided by the factory tour.
Prof. Dr. Patrick Glauner, Professor of Artificial Intelligence at Deggendorf Institute of Technology, spoke about developments in the field of AI and how this topic has also impacted other courses of study since the introduction of the "Artificial Intelligence" and "Artificial Intelligence" courses.
In the subsequent pitch round, Cluster Manager Thomas Ramming from Bayern Innovativ GmbH and Matthias Meldzer and Nicole Höß from KI-Regionalzentrum Oberpfalz had the opportunity to present their innovative proposals and offers for SMEs.
Christian Kirsch also made a contribution on behalf of PASSION4IT. His presentation was all about the topic of digital mindset and how important this is for small and medium-sized companies in particular in order to remain fit for the future in times of exponential development in the field of digitalization.
Following the presentations, all participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas at the buffet.
