Digital processes and tools have become indispensable these days and are used in all areas of life. But this is precisely where the biggest attack surface in cyberspace arises. Cyber attacks can hit us hard not only financially, but also emotionally. We addressed this topic at our cyber security event and took a close look at how we can protect ourselves against these attacks.
Together with the Allianz General Agency Nothaft from Teisnach, we hosted an event on this exciting topic in our RiverRoom on March 22, 2023 with "True Crime in SMEs - Cyber Security Insurance as a protective shield in the event of an emergency".
We welcomed over 25 participants, both in person and via Zoom, who wanted to find out about the latest developments in cyber security. Our project manager and consultant Florian Achatz mainly manages cyber security projects at PASSION4IT and gave the participants a fascinating overview of the current situation in cyber space. He also presented some tips on how companies and private individuals can prevent cyber attacks.
The presentation by Dr. Andreas Fürst, Senior Legal Counsel and cyber security expert at Allianz Versicherung, was particularly interesting. He presented cyber security insurance as a possible protective measure and showed the participants that insurance can be a very exciting topic.
Cyber security insurance is an insurance policy that protects companies and private individuals against damage caused by cyber attacks. It can cover financial losses as well as damage to data and systems. In the event of damage, policyholders can receive quick and uncomplicated help to limit the damage and restore the systems.
From both presentations, those present were able to take away many important ideas for the future.
After the event, the participants had the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with the speakers over a cold drink or two. It was an all-round successful event that made us all more aware and provided us with valuable information to protect ourselves from cyber attacks.
