Trusted Leader: taking responsibility, not just recommending.

Fractional CIO, strategic IT management and trust-based leadership for the Mittelstand.

When your IT needs leadership but a full-time CIO role doesn't fit, we take responsibility. Strategic. Hands-on. Reliable. In your team — not just in Teams.

Problem

Between operational pressure and strategic need, often nobody's left.

Many companies lack clear IT steering. Projects run alongside everyday business. Priorities shift. Vendors lead — instead of the company leading.

  1. 01

    No clear IT direction

  2. 02

  3. 03

    Operational focus eats steering capacity

  4. 04

    Vendors set the pace

  5. 05

IT is busy, but not set up to be effective

We don't run IT for you. We run it with you. Until it runs on its own.

FAQs

What exactly is a Trusted Leader?

A Trusted Leader is an experienced IT and digital transformation leader who takes responsibility in your company for a defined period. We align management, IT and business units, make decisions, implement them, and then hand the wheel back to your team. Not a consultant who delivers slides. Not an interim manager who fills a role. Someone who connects plan and execution.

What is the difference to a fractional CIO or interim manager?

A fractional CIO works hourly or day-based, without deep accountability. An interim manager fills an open line position. A Trusted Leader takes leadership with authority to act – we decide, coordinate and deliver measurable results, always with the explicit agreement that your team continues independently afterwards.

How long does the engagement last?

Typically 6 to 18 months, depending on the size of the leap. First visible results land within the first 6 months. We agree on clear milestones with concrete goals so you always know what will be ready when.

What does the Trusted Leader model cost?

We work with transparent monthly or milestone packages, scaled to the required time share and depth of responsibility. We share concrete numbers in the free strategy call – including a recommendation on whether a Trusted Leader is actually the right model for you.

Does my team need to prepare?

No. We bring the methods and translate them into your context. What we need: management buy-in, access to the relevant stakeholders, and the willingness to make decisions even when they are uncomfortable.

Does the Trusted Leader work remote or on-site?

Hybrid. In the ramp-up phase presence is important to understand people, processes and culture. After that, many sessions run remote with regular on-site days. The goal is always that your team keeps working even when we are not in the room.

What happens after the engagement?

We hand over cleanly: documented structures, established routines, a clear responsibility map and a 12-month roadmap. On request we stay involved at lower intensity – as a sparring partner, no longer as a leader.

What company size does the model fit?

Mid-sized companies from roughly 50 to around 1,000 employees. Small enough for a central leadership figure to have real leverage. Large enough that IT, business model and organisation need to be steered strategically.

If real leadership is missing in your IT, fill the gap.

Trusted Leader brings direction, accountability and calm into demanding digital initiatives.
