AI Cluster Niederbayern launches in Viechtach
PASSION4IT and amaiko are building a regional AI network inside the Bundesverband für KI-Transformation. Quarterly meetings at the RiverRoom, first date in Q4 2026.
PASSION4IT and amaiko are jointly building the AI Cluster Niederbayern, a regional initiative inside the Bundesverband für KI-Transformation e.V., better known as Venture AI Germany. Both our brands have been members of the association since August, and its model provides for regional AI clusters as independent expert groups working on the ground. When we joined in August this was still a declaration of intent, now we are getting started.
The cluster will meet once a quarter at the RiverRoom, Am Regen 5 in Viechtach. The programme features tech talks by our developers and site engineers, use cases from live client projects and input from external speakers. There will be time to talk in between, and with formats like this that part is often the most valuable one.
The content side is about the operational reality of AI transformation, meaning day-to-day work. About permissions, data quality, governance and the question of whether your people can actually put the new tools to productive use. Nobody needs chatbot demos or slides about the next revolution for that.
Companies, public sector organisations, technology partners and practitioners from the region are all welcome, from knowledge workers to managing directors. Municipal administrations are explicitly part of this, we have worked with the town of Viechtach and with Bodenmais Tourismus & Marketing GmbH for years. Anyone working on AI in Lower Bavaria today usually sits alone in their own company, trying things that somebody twenty kilometres away has already worked through. That is what we want to change.
“AI transformation is not decided in presentations, it is decided in day-to-day work: in knowledge, processes, permissions, data quality, and in the question of whether people can really put the new possibilities to productive use. With the AI Cluster Niederbayern we want to build a strong regional network for exactly that, open, hands-on and based on real experience instead of AI hype.”
Christian Kirsch, Managing Director of PASSION4IT
The first date is planned for the fourth quarter of 2026. We will announce the date and the topic here as soon as both are set, and through our newsletter and social media channels.
